So, I’ve shared with you my favorite candied yams recipe, and how to make a traditional roast turkey, and creamy mashed potatoes so what else is there? It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a delicious creamy green bean casserole recipe to make us feel like we’ve got something healthy on the table right? Because – vegetables.

I don’t know about you, but this was a favorite in my house – even when I was a kid. And, that’s saying a lot. There is something to be said for cream of anything soup (in this case cream of mushroom) mixed with veggies that just makes it a ton more satisfying.

OK – I’m from the south – so we kind of do the casserole thing pretty well, and this recipe is no exception. If you don’t have a little something creamy and fried and every meal, then you’re just not living right.

This green bean casserole is just so creamy and delicious you’ll be craving it

In this recipe, I use frozen french cut green beans because they thaw easily. All you have to do is set these green beans out on the counter about 15-20 minutes beforehand and they will be ready to mix up with the rest of the recipe. So, let’s get started.

Green Bean Casserole Ingredients

1 bag, 16 oz, french cut green beans, thawed
1 can, 10.75 oz, condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can, 2.8 oz, french fried onions
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup half and half

Green Bean Casserole Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 and grease a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Add beans, soup and mushrooms to a large mixing bowl and mix well. Stir in half a can of french fried onions, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese and half and half. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, top with remaining Parmesan cheese and remaining french fried onions and return to oven for an additional 3-5 minutes.
