*This is a sponsored post for Wiivv, because getting old can suck, and insoles can help**

I have been hard on my body. I started playing sports at a very young age. I ran track, played soccer, and as an adult I put in years at the gym. I have always been active, but now my activity revolves more around my kid’s activities and the miles I can put in on my treadmill in my garage. I wear flip flops most days. I usually only wear my sneakers if I am exercising or chasing kids at the soccer field.

Here are 8 ways I realized I was “Getting Old.”

  1. Bruises: I have bruises on my body that I cannot account for. My thighs say “Bar room brawl” but it’s more like, “Hit by the minivan door.”

  2. Varicose veins: My calf’s are a road map for success. If by success you mean the local highway system.

  3. Eye Luggage: I am not into make-up, but I rock a very eloquent “Smokey eye.” Problem is, I wear the Smokey eye underneath the eye, which I think is the wrong spot. I’ll need to check a YouTube tutorial to confirm.

  4. Body Aches: At the end of the day I feel like I ran the obstacle course on American Ninja Warrior. I didn’t, but three kids, two dogs, and two left feet, can cause my body to want to feel like round 15 of a Heavy Weight fight.

  5. Sleep?: I can’t remember sleep. It has been at least 11 years since I slept 8 consecutive hours. Even when I am sleeping my brain is still writing “To Do” list and setting expectations for the next day. Sleep deprivation is a type of torture for a reason, it literally drives you insane, and make you feel so old.

  6. My neck, my back!: I remember watching my Mom bending over to stretch out her back and thinking, “Man, it sucks to be old.” Now I know exactly how she felt. Being one of four kids, we were always on the go, and so was she.

  7. Can you hear my soles screaming?” About a year ago my feet started to hurt. Not like “It’s been a long day” hurt. More like “If I don’t sit down my feet are going to fall off” hurt. I think the years of strain and flip-flop wearing had finally done in my feet. I need my feet; they take me where I want to go.

  8. Gravity: Physics is a real Bit#h! My breasts use to stand up. My butt was hard as a rock. My middle was tight, and my hair was think and shiny. I am now the proud owner of two cock eyed nipples, a saggy bottom, stretch marks, and silver hair.

With all of that being said, I get that this is part of life. A company called Wiivv reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to try their insoles. I thought, “YES! I would love to, but what’s the catch?” They explained that they loved my community and they thought their insoles might be a “Good fit.” Pun completely intended. I explained that I would try the insoles but if I didn’t like them, I wasn’t going to pass the information along to you guys.

Once I got the information I realized that these insoles are 3D printed for YOUR feet. It was pretty crazy. I snapped a couple of pictures of my feet and uploaded it into their app. Within a week I had a set of customized 3D printed insoles to put into my sneakers. I slipped them puppies into my sneakers and I have been walking around on them for about a month. I am happy to say that I am really enjoying them. My feet hurt less in sneakers. My back isn’t as sore at the end of the day, and I can put them into other shoes, like my Converse, or my boat shoes. Sometimes its sucks to get older, but at least there are products out there that can help soften the blow. So if you are on your feet all day long, check out Wiivv and use PROMO CODE: MOM25 for 25% off your order. Please let me know if you try them and what you think. I would love for your soles to be singing with delight.
